Sylvester Stallone is one of the Hollywood legends, but he didn’t achieve what he truly dreamt about.
The actor was raised in a toxic environment. He desperately dreamed about separating from his parents, but once he did life still kept throwing him to the bottom. One thing he succeeded in was mastering the method of living on nothing. Can you imagine what made him so desperate he starred in an adult movie for pennies? Gates to Hollywood were closed for him. Nobody wanted to film a guy with facial and speech defects. Sylvester also had to sell his only friend – an English mastiff. Spoiler: he got him back!
After hitting a rock bottom, Sylvester came up with an idea for one iconic script – “Rocky”. The story of a tireless boxer fighting for his glory not only began Sly’s rise as a major film star but grew to the whole franchise line and is still considered one of the greatest films ever made. Not many people know how much pain he endured before people started taking him seriously. Casting directors were laughing at him and busted. Nobody believed that “Rocky” would pay off. Though it wasn’t that simple, after all he didn’t let anyone else play a character based on his private story.
Unfortunately, career triumph didn’t make Sylvester Stallone happy. The actor wasn’t able to build a healthy peaceful relationship. Sly made a few attempts to find his soul mate and despite having many kids he wasn’t close enough to all of them as he dreamt. His second son was diagnosed with autism and the first one died at quite early middle age. After all, he found peace in himself. Life was always punching the man but he was never knocked down for too long. Like his iconic character, Sylvester Stallone kept fighting.
